A polished volcanic beach with everything close at hand

Kamari stretches north from Mesa Vouno along one of Santorini's most developed waterfronts. Dark rounded pebble meets clear water, while the pedestrian promenade keeps restaurants and shops close without road traffic directly beside the beach.

The seabed drops more quickly than Perissa in places and the stones are uncomfortable barefoot. Come early for quieter water, use shoes, and confirm whether a seasonal boat around the headland is operating before relying on it for the return journey.
