A small river-mouth beach below an ancient sanctuary
Nas sits where the Chalaris River meets the sea below the remains of a sanctuary of Artemis. Steps descend from the village to a small sand-and-pebble shore framed by rock.
Currents around the river mouth and offshore rocks can be severe, especially in waves. Obey warnings even when the cove looks inviting. The climb back is steep, and facilities remain above the beach.
