Walk around the headland for a smaller cove that still keeps Parga's centre close
Piso Kryoneri sits just beyond the low headland from Kryoneri, but the enclosed cove feels more residential and less exposed to the main waterfront. It is a good first or last swim of the day when you do not want a taxi boat or the climb across town to Valtos. Rock edges frame the water and make the bay attractive to confident swimmers.
Space is limited, particularly once seasonal loungers are arranged, so arrive early and keep access paths clear. The beach is mostly pebbled and water shoes improve comfort. Rock around the sides can be slippery and is not safe for unsupervised jumping; enter from the established shore. Nearby cafés and rooms provide convenience, but do not assume a lifeguard. Southerly weather can change the cove quickly, so judge conditions from the beach rather than from a forecast alone.
