Psani Beach

Psani is the western town beach, pairing a pebbled shallow shore with a long promenade, playground and seasonal SeaTrac access.

Our take

Swim beside the old town on a shaded waterfront designed to work for families and wheelchair users

Psani begins a few minutes west of the harbour, so a swim fits naturally between the museum and an evening meal. The shore is pebbled and the water is often shallow close in. Plane trees shade sections of the promenade, while cafes, toilets and a playground make this the more practical of Nafpaktos's urban beaches for a mixed-age group.

The municipality normally installs SeaTrac equipment and provides a lifeguard in the summer season, but availability must be checked for the actual travel date. Road traffic is restricted along the front during parts of summer. Water conditions change with wind and gulf traffic; use the guarded area, supervise children and bring water shoes if rounded stones are uncomfortable.
