Pizza, paintings and Koum Kapi wine
Maiami combines a gallery, wine shop and restaurant in a colour-blocked Koum Kapi space away from the old harbour lanes. Art covers the walls and the kitchen mills its own flour for pizza, then adds lemon-ricotta pasta and seasonal plates that break from Chania's taverna template.
The compact à la carte menu works best as pizza plus two shared plates, followed by bottles from the owners' cellar. Reserve at weekends and keep track of the order yourself; July 2026 diners still praise the food but repeatedly report missing cutlery, forgotten plates and an undertrained young service team.
What visitors say
Recent Tripadvisor reviews strongly praise Maiami's pizza, pasta, wine and art-filled room, while multiple July 2026 reports identify disorganised service as the main weakness.
