The fisherman makes the bottarga
Ventura is a family seafood taverna on Adrianoupoleos where co-owner Costas fishes, cooks and cures his own grey-mullet bottarga. Diners share red mullet, marinated anchovies, grilled sardines, stuffed squid and shrimp pasta at simple tables rather than along the showier marina frontage.
Visit at lunch for a chance to discuss the catch before the room accelerates. Coeliac diners should state their needs clearly—the kitchen reported separate fryer, grill, plates and cutlery in July 2026—and four people can still eat broadly for roughly €20 each.
