The island's easiest village-backed swim
Pali's beach runs beside the island's small fishing and yacht harbour, giving it a lived-in character rather than a resort feel. Sand and fine pebble make entry easier than at Chochlaki, while nearby tavernas, rooms and the village road remove the logistics of a remote beach day. It works especially well for families and travellers staying on the east coast.
Boats, harbour activity and local wind still need attention. Swim in the accepted bathing area, away from moorings and harbour traffic, and ask locally about water conditions after strong weather. Seasonal umbrellas and food are conveniences rather than guaranteed services, and lifeguard coverage should not be assumed. Parking is limited around the waterfront; walk from Pali accommodation or arrive before the busiest excursion hours.
