Vali Beach

Vali is one of the coves nearest Kastos village, useful for a simple morning or evening swim without committing to the longer north or south walks.

Our take

Choose the village-side cove when a short swim matters more than walking to the island's extremes

Vali suits the day when the passenger boat arrived late or the heat makes a long walk unwise. Its proximity to the settlement preserves time for the harbour, lunch and a second swim. The shore is modest and may feel quite different depending on wind and the number of small boats using nearby water, so treat it as a convenient local cove rather than a signature excursion.

There is no lifeguard and little dependable shade. Wear water shoes, keep clear of propellers and do not tie belongings to private equipment or jetties. Ask a resident which path and section are currently public. Take water even for a short visit, bring rubbish back and avoid loud music; proximity to houses makes considerate behaviour particularly important.
