Akra

Akra places diners beside the cooks in a small Pangrati room built around ovens and a wood-fired grill. A bakery occupies the front; heat, smoke and the day’s trays supply the decoration.

Our take

Sit at the counter. Watch the fire.

Giannis Loukakis and Spiros Pediaditakis rewrite the menu daily around seasonal Greek produce, grilled meat, vegetables and baked sweets. Counter seats give the clearest view but little privacy; arrive ready to share, ask what has sold out, and book because the room holds few tables.

What visitors say

Michelin awards Akra a Bib Gourmand and points to its daily menu, wood-fired cooking and bakery-counter format.
