Two menus inside an 1850s townhouse
Aleria fills a nineteenth-century Metaxourgeio residence with plaster mouldings, contemporary furniture and a walled courtyard. Gikas Xenakis uses the domestic scale to frame modern Greek cooking, not to reproduce an old dining room.
Earth & Sea and the vegetarian Garden & Nature menus each come in five- or six-course versions. Decide the length before arrival, reserve courtyard seating around temperature, and disclose dietary limits when booking; Sunday remains closed.
What visitors say
Michelin retains Aleria in its selection and details both tasting routes; recent traveller discussions repeatedly recommend it for a celebratory Greek dinner.
