A west-coast village with three very different swimming bays
Lefkos is best understood as a cluster of bays. The central harbour-side sand is convenient and often gentle, while nearby coves vary in exposure, seabed and space. Tavernas and rooms make it practical for a full day or a slower stay.
Check each bay rather than assuming conditions are uniform: the west coast can be windy even when the central water is calm. Small roads and parking areas fill around lunch. Keep clear of working boats in the harbour and take footwear when crossing the rocky links between beaches.
